- May 15, 2008 - Piney Flats, TN - Summer is almost upon us and we now have the road, mountain, comfort, and commuter bikes in stock to fill your needs. Also just arrived is the new Mavic R-SYS wheels. We also just found out that while all other manufacturers are going to be having price increases by the end of the summer, Lynskey Performance is running some terrific prices. Come by and talk to us about building your titanium dream machine. Through hard work and some long hours, we are still only a day or two out on most repairs. Bring your bike by to have your pre-summer tuneup done, or get a complete overhaul to make sure that your bike is running as smooth as possible.
- February 29, 2008 - Piney Flats, TN - Piney Flats Bicycles and Fitness received news today that we are once again the Vision Fitness retailer for the Tri-Cities. We are excited to be able to offer their full range of treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary exercise bikes. Look for Vision Fitness products to be on our floor within the next few weeks!

- January 09, 2008 - Piney Flats, TN - Just arrived a new shipment of Louis Garneau winter and early spring clothing. Please come in and check out the selection of shoe covers, gloves, arm/knee/leg warmers, long sleeve jerseys, and jackets.

- December 10, 2007 - Piney Flats, TN - The Lifespan Fitness EX3 Elliptical is now in stock. Please come by and check out this exceptional elliptical. Only a limited number of these units were received, so they will be on a first-come first-serve basis.
- November 06, 2007 - Piney Flats, TN - Piney Flats Bicycles and Fitness just received their first preseason order of Louis Garneau winter clothing for winter 2007/2008. Please come by and check out the new long sleeve jerseys, tights, arm/knee/leg warmers, and full finger gloves. They also received a limited quantity of summer bibs, shorts, baggy shorts, and half-finger gloves.

- October 05, 2007 - Piney Flats, TN - Cyclocross season is only 8 days away! The first event of the Mud, Sweat, and Gears Cyclocross Series will be held on October 13th at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN. This year looks to be the fourth tremendous year for the series. But there is a little extra excitement, Redline Bicycles (which we carry) has selected the October 20th date as the fourth stop on their Redline Cup O' Cross series. This is the only race east of Denver, CO on the circuit. Please click on the races page for more information!
- October 04, 2007 - Piney Flats, TN - Piney Flats Bicycles and Fitness learned this week that the first of the 2008 Scott Aspect 50 and Aspect 45's will be arriving next week!
- September 01, 2007 - Piney Flats, TN - As of today Piney Flats Bicycles and Fitness is changing it's Saturdy store hours to 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- July 07, 2007 - Kingsport, TN - Joe Canino needs volunteers for the Kingsport Criterium, presented by Blue Ridge Properties, in Kingsport on July 15th. He mainly needs help with course marshaling since this is the first time in many years that such and event has been held in Kingsport, and the populace is not familiar with the speed with witch riders will be approaching on the course. - May 25, 2007 - Kingsport, TN - As many of you already know, one of our employees, Shelton Pittman, and his wife Pam were involved in a motorcycle accident in Wilmington, NC last week. Shelton is in stable condition but is going to be on a long road to recovery due to trauma injuries to his right leg. Pam is able to get around a little bit, but can not be up and about for very long at a time. Shelton's friends have put up a website for him, http://www.jsheltonpittman.com. We will try to keep everyone updated as much as possible here, but please visit their website for the most up-to-date information and to make donations. To all of those who have already sent emails, made phone calls, and donated money, you really do not know how much it means to them. Shelton was moved to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport Thursday and will be going through surgery this afternoon. If you would like Shelton's latest contact information please call or email us. Please keep Shelton and Pam in your thoughts and prayers on this long road to recovery.

The event consists of the Roan Groan Road Race and Johnson City Chamber of Commerce Time-Trial on Saturday June 09, and the Settlers Life Bristol Criterium on Sunday June 10.
